Support Engineer

Support Engineer Responsibilities

  • Perform first-level troubleshooting of server and storage issues.
  • Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents.
  • Perform hardware health checks and diagnostics.
  • Handle OS-level issues (Windows/Linux basic support).
  • Log and manage tickets through service desk tools.
  • Escalate complex issues to L2/OEM support.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance activities.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of server and storage failures.
  • RAID configuration and disk replacement activities.
  • Firmware, patches, and upgrade implementation.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preparation.
  • Coordination with OEM vendors for part replacement.
  • Support virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V).
  • Backup verification and restoration support.
  • Performance tuning and capacity recommendations.
