Key Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate patient appointments using AxiUm and Epic systems.

Manage provider calendars and daily clinic schedules.
-
Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations.
-
Collect co-pays and assist with patient billing questions.
-
Coordinate referrals and ensure necessary documentation is available.

Communicate with patients, providers, and external offices.
-
Train new staff, residents, and student employees on clinic protocols.

Resolve scheduling conflicts and urgent care needs.

Support clinic workflow and contribute to process improvements.

Maintain accurate patient records and appointment data.
Salary:
$49,968 to commensurate (Pay Grade: 3A)
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
May require occasional overtime.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.

Relevant experience in a health care environment, including the following skillsets:

Experience scheduling for multiple providers in a healthcare environment

Experience gathering and verifying insurance coverage
-
Experience with electronic health records
-
Experience working in Windows based networked database using multiple data tools
-
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications

Experience with dental terminology
-
Some knowledge of university policies, procedures, and regulations.

Experience in a public health setting
-
Experience utilizing active conflict management/resolution skills and de-escalation techniques.
