Program Manager, Supported Employment Programs

Position Information
One of the ways we do this is through our Supported Employment programs. These programs provide job placement and retention services as well as support and education for our business partners. This is accomplished by a diverse team of employment support specialists and consultants providing direct job development and coaching support. Your role will be to lead and support this team while working alongside a diverse group of other program managers, coordinators, and agency directors. Some of the ways the Program Manager leads this dynamic team include:

  • Utilize the best practices of job development, job coaching, person centered planning and program management to support your team to excellence.
  • Build relationships with the people we support, your team, your fellow leaders of The Arc of Spokane, and our community partners.
  • Compile data, create reports, monitor billing activities, and comply with county and state contracts.
  • Work with directors to develop an annual budget and manage profit and loss statements.
  • Provide both one-on-one and group staff training and mentorship.
  • Represent The Arc of Spokane in the community through public speaking, outreach, and educational opportunities.
  • Utilize time management as the best practices to maintain a balance between planning and execution as well as meeting deadlines.

This position will be based at The Arc of Spokane’s main building in Downtown Spokane, but it also requires travel to various job sites throughout the Greater Spokane region. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm but does require some flexibility to meet client, staff, program, and agency needs.


Qualified candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ experience in the developmental disabilities and/or supported employment field.
  • Leadership, management and/or supervisory experience.
  • Diverse network of local businesses and/or community contacts and/or sales or marketing experience.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Positive, collaborative attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize time.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Must be committed to self-advocacy and personal choice for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Able to work well with all levels of internal management and staff and with external clients and partners.
  • Must be able to successfully pass required background checks
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Driver’s license, automobile insurance and clean motor vehicle record for past 5 years.

Compensation:
$26.00-$28.60* starting range, entire scale to $33.80 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours per week, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal Leave and mileage reimbursement. *All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting pay for this position is 26.00 per hour.
