Supported Work & Second Chance Program Coordinator

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE - The Supported Work & Second Chance Program coordinator helps clients get back into the work force, access permanent housing and gain stability.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

Supported Work:

Process and update participants’ attendance weekly, including timely data entry to TRACS through DHS.

Communicate with Family Coaches and hiring managers.

Provide orientations, sets up, and manages all participants’ work schedules and changes.

Perform site visits to update hours and goals, and in collaborating with store managers.

Assist in updating resumes and cover letters and writes letters of recommendation.

Work to continue adding Worksites to promote growth within the program.

Second Chance:

Facilitate 33 weekly classes per year.

Update and develop curriculum.

Advocate for participants.

Work with participants to assign homework and set goals to achieve housing.

Collaborate with community partners to teach tenant rights and responsibilities.

Promote client growth and expertise in renter’s education.

Maintain adherence to Company policies, safety/ergonomic standards and good housekeeping practices.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE -

· Experience working with diverse populations.

· Knowledge of social service systems.

· Knowledge of the mental, emotional, and physical impacts of trauma.

· Active listening skills and ability to acquire information in healthy ways and help problem solve sensitive issues non-judgmentally.

· Experience maintaining client confidentiality and a professional code of ethics.

· Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and empathetically with clients, partners, and other service providers.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, WellSky, email platforms).

· Willingness to work collaboratively with others in a supportive manner.

· Bi-lingual a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
