Overview:
Supervises technologic procedures and ensures coordinated flow of patients in the Neurological Services department, which encompasses EEG and EMG services. Serves as a working supervisor and therefore fulfills the responsibilities of the Neurodiagnostic Technologist position as required by patient volume and demand. Prioritizes work activities in accordance with patient volume, technical requirements, and staff availability, maintains monthly on-call schedules and staff work assignments. Communicates effectively with manager, attending and referring physicians, residents, patients and support staff to accomplish a variety of related tasks.
Qualifications:Required Education:
GED or High School Diploma
Completion of CAAHEP, AMA or US Government accredited program in Neurodiagnostic Technology
Preferred Education:
2 year Associates Degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology
Required Licensure/Certifications:
BLS
ABRET credential of R.EEG T
Preferred Licensure/Certification:
R.EPT.
CLTM
Required Experience:
3-5 years EEG in acute care setting and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
Preferred Experience:
Over 5 years EEG in acute care setting and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
Necessary Skills:
Critical thinking and problem resolution, ability to analyze, articulate concerns and suggestions for improvement
