Job Summary:
This position is crucial for ensuring high production, quality, and yields while maintaining the safest working environment possible. The role demands a comprehensive understanding and control of the production process, precise record-keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Management: Check daily production orders to guarantee customer order fulfillment and ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics, and ensure all machinery operates at peak performance.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection, promote daily safety practices, and conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Inventory and Shipping: Ensure accurate shipments, proper rotation of inventory, and correct coding of products.
  • Team Development: Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members, provide encouragement to build the best team possible, and perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional matters.
  • Problem Solving: Oversee various processing operations, collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems, keep records of reworked or returned products, and provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the production process.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma required; additional education such as special training, vocational school, or college courses is preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory/lead experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are helpful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Supervisory Experience: Responsible for supervising a team performing similar and related tasks.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required (1-5 trips per year).
Work Schedule:
  • Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Fridays are off, except on rare occasions).
