Surgical Assistant

Job Summary

Advanced Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in Aurora is looking for a motivated Surgical Assistant to join our team. Experience preferred in dental or oral surgery assisting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeon chairside during oral surgery procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments (OSHA compliant)
• Set up surgical rooms and surgical equipment
• Assist with anesthesia and patient monitoring
• Maintain sterile field and manage suction/irrigation
• Assist with patient recovery and postop instructions
• Clean and restock surgical rooms

Qualifications:

• Dental or surgical assisting experience preferred
• Oral surgery experience a plus
• CPR certification or ability to obtain
• DANCE certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills and patient-focused attitude
