Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Coordinator to manage and oversee all aspects of surgical scheduling and coordination. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and providers, from initial consultation through post-operative follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures with hospitals, surgery centers, and providers
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain prior authorizations for procedures
• Communicate with patients regarding surgical preparation, instructions, and expectations
• Coordinate pre-operative testing, medical clearances, and necessary documentation
• Serve as liaison between patients, physicians, hospitals, and insurance companies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
• Ensure all surgical consents and documentation are completed prior to procedures
• Handle high call volume and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Assist with billing coordination related to surgical procedures when needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical coordinator or medical scheduling role (ENT experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorization processes
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in ENT or surgical specialty practice
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding (a plus)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
