Surgical Coordinator Intern

NIMS Hospital, Wandoor is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Surgical Coordinator Intern to support the coordination of surgical cases and patient care activities. This internship is ideal for MSW students or graduates interested in healthcare coordination and patient services within a hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate pre-operative and post-operative processes with surgical teams
• Assist patients with admission, consent, and scheduling procedures
• Communicate with doctors, nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth surgical workflows
• Provide emotional and social support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate surgical documentation and reports
• Support discharge planning and follow-up appointments

Candidate Requirements:

• Pursuing or completed MSW (Master of Social Work)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Interest in hospital-based coordination and patient care
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting
