Curalta Foot + Ankle, LLC is a fast-growing Podiatry practice that values an "Above & Beyond" approach to patient service. We are seeking a team player who will make a positive impact in patients' lives through providing excellent customer service while administrating the office and assisting the doctor to provide clinical care.
The Surgical Services & Office Support Specialist acts as the primary administrative bridge between patients, doctors, and surgery facilities to ensure that the surgical procedures are scheduled and executed seamlessly.
Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review, coordinate and book surgery procedures, pre-operative appointments, and post-operative appointments for multiple doctors
- Reach out to patients in a timely fashion to establish surgical date preference, necessary information including all medical tests and clearance
- Coordinate potential dates with patient, doctor and facility
- Complete scheduling with the facility on portal or online forms and upload copy to EMR
- Confirm equipment and implants are approved and ordered, coordinating and confirming with vendor when needed
- Schedule patients pre and post op dates with surgeon, adding all dates to calendars
- Meet in-person with patients to review benefits, arrival time, location, and other pre-op and post-op instructions when requested by patient or physician
- Communicate daily with local Practice Administrators ensuring awareness of surgery dates and follow up appointments
- Prepare surgical paperwork packet with all necessary information into patient’s chart as draft
- Confirm medical clearance obtained and received by facility
- Day prior to surgery confirm all logistics are unchanged
- Provide office support, which includes assisting front desk activities, which includes checking in/out patients, and answering phones when needed.
Education & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience booking surgeries preferred
- 1+ plus years of billing dx/cpt coding preferred
- ModMed experience a plus

- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Podiatry office, with daily interactions with patients and office staff
