We’re Hiring – Survey Engineer (Concrete Repair & Structural Strengthening)

Are you a detail-oriented engineer with a passion for precision and structural integrity?
Join our Technical Team at PFC Group, where we specialize in surveying, assessing, and strengthening existing structures across the UAE.

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Survey Engineer with solid expertise in surveying concrete, steel, and bridge structures, preparing defect mapping reports, and providing technical support for concrete repair and strengthening works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of MEP systems and related drawings.
  • Conduct detailed site surveys for existing structures and prepare comprehensive defect mapping reports.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of construction and repair materials.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of concrete repair techniques, including:

Injection works
Concrete patch repairs
Jacketing and structural strengthening

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) – Design & Application Knowledge

  • Demonstrate solid understanding of CFRP design principles for structural strengthening.
  • Ability to review and interpret CFRP design drawings and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation methods, resin systems, and fiber orientations as per international standards.
  • Familiarity with bond testing methods, load transfer concepts, and quality control parameters.
  • Coordinate with design teams to ensure CFRP applications comply with design intent and performance requirements.

Technical & Coordination Duties

  • Conduct and supervise concrete testing (both destructive and non-destructive/NDT) in compliance with relevant standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports based on survey results, testing data, and field observations.
  • Utilize structural design software (STAAD, ETABS, SAFE, etc.) for analysis and reporting when required.
  • Collaborate with project and design teams to ensure all survey and repair works are executed accurately and effectively.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years of UAE experience in structural surveying, assessment, and concrete repair works.
  • Valid UAE Driving License (mandatory).
  • Dubai Municipality (DM) certification is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with structural design software such as STAAD, ETABS, and SAFE.
