Survey Engineer

Job Purpose:

To lead, plan, and manage all surveying activities within infrastructure and land expropriation projects, ensuring accurate boundary determination, land acquisition mapping, compliance with regulations, and timely project delivery within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage all surveying operations across project phases.
  • Lead and supervise survey teams, field crews, and technical staff.
  • Oversee cadastral, topographic, and boundary surveys.
  • Manage surveying activities related to land expropriation and right-of-way acquisition.
  • Verify land ownership boundaries against legal documentation and title deeds.
  • Review and approve survey drawings, reports, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Support valuation and compensation committees with accurate spatial data.
  • Ensure compliance with local land acquisition laws and regulations.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Implement quality control procedures for surveying outputs.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying Engineering or Geomatics.
  • 8+ years of experience in surveying, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in land expropriation, right-of-way, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cadastral systems and land acquisition procedures.
  • Proficiency in Total Station, GNSS/GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.
  • Professional certification or registration preferred.
