Survey Field Technician

Dieffenbauch & Hritz (D&H) is seeking an individual who is interested starting their career in land survey as a Survey Field Technician in our Bridgeport, WV office. This position is an entry level progressive position where you will be trained on the fundamentals of land survey.

As a Survey Technician, you will go through a training period that will include training and developing an understanding of the following survey techniques:

• Survey procedures and techniques for boundary, construction, topographic, and civil surveys utilizing GPS, conventional total station, and leveling.
• Keep proper field notes and sketches for work performed.
• Operate survey equipment that includes: Trimble GPS receivers, TSC3 Data Collectors, total stations, levels, compasses, and tape measures.
• Reading and understanding plans, maps, plats and other drawings, as well as, deeds right-of-ways, easements and other legal documents.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent, a degree in surveying or related field preferred
• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a motor vehicle report (MVR), ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background screening.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all adverse weather conditions and terrain.
• Experience in the oil & gas industry a plus.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 10 hour days.
• Overtime and occasional weekends may be required.
