JOB PURPOSE:

This is a Graduate-level role working full time from our Kensington Office. The Sustainability Data Analyst will bring strong technical and analytical capabilities to support the delivery of sustainability objectives across a global events organisation. Requirements of the role include stakeholder engagement and data collection, with the ability to manage centralised databases and ensure accurate, timely reporting. The analyst will play a key role in producing quarterly emissions reports in line with global standards, and in generating actionable insights through a working knowledge of data analysis and visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar. A foundational knowledge of environmental reporting standards and sustainability frameworks, with a willingness to develop deeper expertise, is essential. The role also involves supporting specific sustainability initiatives, contributing to strategic decision making, and promoting best practices across the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Data Collection: Proactively engage with stakeholders to gather event related activity data, such as energy and waste metrics. Ensure timely submissions through structured follow ups and reminders.
  • Maintain Centralised Data Systems: Manage a well organised, centralised database for all sustainability data. Ensure regular updates and controlled access for relevant stakeholders.
  • Emissions Reporting & Compliance: Assist the Sustainability Manager and carbon accounting partner in producing quarterly emissions reports aligned with global standards and frameworks.
  • Data Analysis & Visualisation: Use Power BI to clean, analyse, and visualise sustainability data, enabling clear interpretation and decision making.
  • Reporting & Insight Generation: Create dashboards and reports that highlight environmental impacts and trends such as intensity metrics across events, supporting strategic decision making.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Support the Sustainability Manager in preparing insights that contribute to internal decision making.
  • Initiative Specific Data Support: Provide data collection and analysis support for specific sustainability initiatives as required.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Best Practice Development: Provide data inputs that support sustainability planning and best practice sharing across the business.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
  • Experience: Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools, including Microsoft Excel and Power BI, with the ability to manage and interpret large datasets. Foundational knowledge of environmental reporting standards, with a willingness to develop deeper expertise.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisation, time management, and productivity skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and confidence in working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive Approach: Proactive in approach, with a good sense of judgment, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Team Player: A good team player with the ability to work independently when required.
