As Sustainability Host, I fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses Amaala to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them, and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky, and pioneering wellness.

Sustainability, Wellness and Out of the Ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do at Six Senses. I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation in all brand initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Sustainability Host, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

• Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
• Focus on the rejuvenation of the Sustainability department.
• Products and services will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Focus and review regularly through my physical presence in the department, our rigorous adherence to LQA standards.
• Fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures and provide assistance to guests in all property emergency evacuation and medical procedures.
• Maintain the health of plants, vegetables, and trees by identifying plant diseases and using organic fertilizers and pesticides to eliminate these diseases.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
• Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
• Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisor/management.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Sustainability Host, have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results.

• I confirm that I have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Sustainability, or closely related field. I also have the technical skills and at least two years' experience in a sustainability-related role within hospitality with proven results.
• Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including POS and OPERA platforms and have knowledge of property and policies.
