The Sustainability & Environmental Manager will lead and manage all sustainability and environmental functions under Hill PMC, ensuring full accountability for ESIA delivery, LEED certification , regulatory compliance, and alignment with the project milestones. The role requires strong leadership, authority interface, and proactive management of environmental and sustainability risks.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all sustainability and environmental activities across design and early construction phases.

Take full ownership of ESIA review, coordination, and approvals (Terrestrial, Marine, and Coastal studies).

Lead and oversee the LEED certification process

Ensure compliance with EEAA and SPA requirements and other applicable regulations.

Act as the primary interface with the client on all environmental and sustainability matters.

Lead responses to authority comments and ensure timely closure.

Coordinate with environmental consultants, LEED consultants, designers, and PMC teams.

Monitor LEED scorecard progress and ensure achievement of targeted certification level.

Ensure alignment between design deliverables, ESIA commitments, and LEED requirements.

Establish systems to track authority comments, submissions, approvals, and certification progress.

Identify and mitigate risks impacting approvals and certification timelines.

Oversee ESMP development and implementation.

Establish environmental and sustainability KPIs and reporting systems.

Lead stakeholder and authority meetings.

Manage and lead the environmental and sustainability team.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (Environmental/Water), Environmental Science, or related field.

LEED AP (BD+C) or proven experience delivering LEED Gold projects is required.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Proficiency in Arabic & English language is a MUST
Experience:
-
15+ years of experience.

Strong experience in ESIA and authority approvals (EEAA / SPA).

Proven experience in LEED certification delivery (minimum Gold level).

Experience in large-scale developments (coastal/tourism preferred).

PMC or international consultancy experience is preferred.
