Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainability plans for construction projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental regulations and international sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
  • Monitor and report environmental performance (energy, water, waste, carbon emissions).
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure sustainability practices are followed.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and consultants on sustainability requirements.
  • Support environmental risk assessments and mitigation measures.
  • Promote waste management, recycling, and material efficiency on site.
  • Prepare sustainability reports for clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in achieving green building certifications.
  • Ensure integration of sustainable construction practices in design and execution phases.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional certifications in sustainability or green building (preferred).
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as LEED / BREEAM / ESTIDAMA.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.

Experience

  • Typically 6 to 10 years of experience in construction or environmental/sustainability roles.
  • Experience in large-scale infrastructure or building projects is an advantage.
