Compensation
Salary range:
$200,000-$300,000
, depending on experience and market conditions. This range applies to New York-based roles and may be adjusted over time.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:

Structure, negotiate, and execute physical natural gas supply agreements, transportation deals, storage arrangements, seasonal hedges, and structured energy products.

Manage pipeline transportation and storage portfolios-including contract positions, tariff analysis, constraints, and commercial optimization opportunities.

Collaborate with asset management, development, and operations teams to ensure reliable, cost‑efficient fuel supply strategies for operating facilities and new builds.

Analyze regional gas fundamentals such as production patterns, pipeline expansions, LNG influences, basis trends, storage economics, and regulatory developments.

Oversee or coordinate physical scheduling, nominations, imbalance resolution, and daily operational support.

Identify and implement optimization strategies around firm transport, storage capacity, asset‑backed structures, swing gas, and optionality within physical market positions.

Partner closely with internal teams across commercial operations, finance, legal, development, and asset management to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
Qualifications

Preferred Experience

15+ years in a utility, merchant generation company, pipeline operator, marketer, or commodity trading environment.

Direct experience negotiating physical gas supply, transportation, and storage contracts.

Hands‑on experience with daily pipeline scheduling or physical gas operations.

Familiarity with FERC regulations, pipeline tariffs, RFP processes, interconnects, and delivery structures.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills related to deal economics and optionality.

Knowledge of power markets (helpful but not required).

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
