SVP of Commercial

  1. Job Purpose


Oversee the formulation and implementation of comprehensive commercial strategies that align with Dammam Airports strategic goals, providing visionary leadership to the commercial team. Drive the establishment of strategic KPls, monitor industry trends. and ensure compliance with commercial policies. Cultivate strategic relationships. manage the commercial budget, and champion innovation to enhance commercial practices and drive continuous improvement.

2. Position Accountability Description


  • Strategic Leadership:


  1. Oversee the formulation and implementation of comprehensive commercial strategies that align with Dammam Airports strategic goals.
  2. Provide visionary leadership to the commercial team, ensuring their efforts align with broader organizational objectives.
  3. Drive the establishment, monitoring, and evaluation of strategic KPls to measure the impact and continuous improvement of commercial initiatives.


  • Operational Excellence:


  1. Oversee the strategic application and compliance of commercial policies and procedures to maintain operational excellence.
  2. Lead the development and execution of both aeronautical and non-aeronauticai business development strategies to maximize revenues.
  3. Drive the enhancement of concession operations, improvement of F&B offer, and diversification of product offer to optimize the passenger experience and land revenue.
  4. Lead the implementation of strategic partnerships with extemal organizations, service providers, and technology vendors to capitalize on non-aeronautical business opportunities and drive the Digitalisation process.
  5. Oversee the integration and management of commercial information systems to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.
  6. Drive the development and utilization of advanced commercial analytics and dashboards to provide strategic insights for executive-level decision-making.
  7. Lead the evaluation and enhancement of commercial processes through regular review and feedback mechanisms to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Stakeholder Management:


  1. Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including airlines, service providers, and regulatory bodies.
  2. Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of commercial initiatives with organizational goals and benchmark performance.
  3. Communicate strategic updates and insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders regarding commercial initiatives and compliance.


  • Team Leadership and Development:


  1. Provide strategic leadership, mentorship, and development for the commercial team to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals,
  2. Oversee the creation of strategic training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the commercial team.
  3. Set strategic performance expectations, deliver executive-level feedback, and conduct evaluations to ensure the team meets organizational objectives.


  • Financial Management:


  1. Oversee the development and management of the commercial budget, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources to meet & exceed revenue targets.
  2. identify opportunities for cost optimization and implement measures to enhance financial efficiency whilst maintaining service quality and operational integrity
  3. Monitor, report and act on financial performance to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and financial targets.


  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement:


  1. Champion the adoption of new technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation in commercial practices.
  2. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging feedback from stakeholders to enhance commercial processes and organizational effectiveness.
  3. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth and efficiency.


  • Education & Experience Background:


  1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 19 years of total experience, minimum 8 years in commercial management, leadership referable within the aviation or airport industry
