Farm Stand Opener & Closer – Sweet Wheel Farm (Summerland, CA)
Part-time (Approx. 2 hours per day, 7 days a week)
$20 per hour

Sweet Wheel Farm is a small nonprofit farm in Summerland focused on growing chemical-free produce and connecting our community with fresh, locally grown food. We are looking for a dependable person to help with the daily opening and closing of our farm stand.

This role helps ensure the stand is set up properly each morning, closed and secured each evening, and that produce and storage areas remain organized and well maintained.

Schedule

7 days a week

• Morning opening: 8:00 – 9:00 AM
• Evening closing: 6:00 – 7:00 PM

Approximately 2 hours total per day.

Responsibilities

• Open the farm stand and set up produce displays each morning
• Ensure produce is clean, organized, and properly labeled before opening
• Keep the stand neat and welcoming for customers
• Monitor produce levels and communicate when items are running low for production
• Close the stand each evening and properly store produce and equipment
• Perform light cleaning and general upkeep around the stand
• Help maintain and organize our dry storage sheds and cold storage sheds
• Collect compost from the stand and bring it up to the farm as part of our waste and soil program
• Take trash out on Thursdays so it is ready for Friday pickup

Sweet Wheel Farm is a nonprofit project working to reconnect people with locally grown food and strengthen access to fresh produce in Santa Barbara County.
