Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and disciplined Sweet & Bakery Cook to lead the preparation of traditional South Asian sweets and baked items. This role demands precision, consistency, and a deep understanding of regional flavors, with a commitment to hygiene and presentation that reflects LalQila’s premium standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare a wide range of South Asian sweets (e.g., gulab jamun, jalebi, barfi, laddoo, rasmalai) and bakery items (e.g., cakes, biscuits, pastries)
• Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and consistency
• Manage daily production schedules and prep lists for buffet and takeaway counters
• Monitor ingredient freshness, stock levels, and kitchen hygiene
• Collaborate with chefs and service staff to ensure timely delivery during buffet hours
• Assist in developing seasonal and festive sweet offerings
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality food safety and hygiene regulations
• Support packaging and display setup for takeaway and bulk orders

Requirements

• Male candidate with relevant culinary experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Proven expertise in South Asian sweet-making and bakery production
• Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and food safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume buffet environment
• Fluent in Hindi and Urdu; basic English preferred for team coordination
• Legal eligibility to work in the UAE (valid visa or sponsor-ready)
• Physically fit and able to handle long kitchen shifts
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and festive seasons
