What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)Lead Daily Pool Operations

  • Oversee all on-deck activities to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe class execution.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and pool deck readiness.

Coach & Support Instructors

  • Mentor and guide swim instructors to deliver high-quality, consistent lessons.
  • Provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and in-water coaching as needed.
  • Uphold British Swim School’s teaching curriculum, safety policies, and emergency procedures.

Champion Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety rules to prevent accidents and ensure a controlled environment.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid when necessary.
  • Maintain awareness of water conditions, class ratios, and overall safety protocols.

Deliver Exceptional Customer Experience

  • Build strong relationships with parents and guardians.
  • Provide clear updates on swimmer progress, class expectations, and skill development.
  • Handle parent concerns with empathy, professionalism, and quick problem-solving.

Drive Team Development & Culture

  • Lead by example with a positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.
  • Attend and conduct required workshops, in-service trainings, and skill refreshers.
  • Help build a fun, energetic, and safety-focused deck culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 25+
  • Experience: 3+ years as a swim instructor or in an aquatic leadership role (required)
  • Ability to work with children of all ages and abilities
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Positive attitude, high energy, and passion for water safety
  • Ability to pass all required background checks

Preferred Certifications (Not Required)

Paid training and certification support provided.

  • Lifeguard
  • CPR/AED
  • First Aid
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO)

Work Location

Manassas / Gainesville / On-site at one or more partner pool locations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
