How you'll make an impact in this role:
Operate the organization's telecommunication system to answer and route incoming calls and to communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.
Responsibilities:

Receive and relay internal and external calls and provide general information according to protocol.

Maintain desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials.

Operate beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team.

Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans.
What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Education:
-
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need:
Shift times will be 2-10:30pm with occasional overnight shifts from 10pm-6:30am. Weekend rotations are every other weekend and include evening shifts of 2-10:30pm and 10:30pm-6:30am. Will work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per calendar year. Shifts may be changed due to departmental need and future call volumes.
Customer service experience preferred. Dispatch, intercom or broadcast experience preferred due to announcing codes over hospital-wide systems.
Candidates should have the ability to work independently and take initiative to complete their responsibilities without supervision. Successful candidates will have excellent punctuality and attendance as well as excellent customer service skills.
