Job Title: Switchgear Engineer – 6.6 kV NXAIR & 33 kV 8DA

Location: RLIC – TR QE Site
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: 6 days per week, 10 hours per day (including OT)
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years (mandatory)

Job Summary

Our client a global leader in industrial technology and electrification solutions is looking for an experienced Switchgear Engineer with a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in 6.6 kV NXAIR and 33 kV 8DA switchgear systems. The role involves installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities at the RLIC – TR QE site, ensuring safe and reliable operation of MV/HV electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, and maintain 6.6 kV NXAIR and 33 kV 8DA switchgear
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of MV/HV switchgear systems
• Conduct insulation resistance tests, HV testing, functional checks, and relay coordination
• Troubleshoot switchgear faults and support shutdown and emergency maintenance
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and OEM documentation
• Coordinate with project engineers, site teams, and client representatives
• Ensure compliance with IEC standards, site safety regulations, and company procedures
• Prepare test reports, commissioning documents, and technical records

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience with NXAIR 6.6 kV and 8DA 33 kV switchgear
• Strong knowledge of MV/HV systems, protection relays, and interlocking schemes
• Proven site-based experience in installation, testing, and commissioning
• Good communication and teamwork skills
