Switchgear Sales Engineer

Karachi, Pakistan

Job Purpose:

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for business development, client acquisition, and achieving sales targets for Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) Switchgear Panels. The role requires strong technical knowledge of switchgear and power distribution systems, combined with effective sales and negotiation skills to generate revenue and grow market share.

Key Responsibilities:Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities for MV & LV Switchgear panels and related electrical solutions.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals within the specified timelines.
  • Generate inquiries through direct client visits, networking, consultants, contractors, and industry connections.
  • Prepare and present technical-commercial proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, industrial clients, and distributors.
  • Track and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.

Client & Market Engagement

  • Visit customers regularly to understand their requirements and promote company solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support and guidance to customers for optimal product selection.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy customer database and pipeline report.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to recommend sales strategies.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Design, and Production teams to ensure technical and delivery feasibility.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure timely payments and credit control.
  • Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence updates for management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Number of new clients and projects acquired.
  • Conversion rate of inquiries into confirmed orders.
  • Client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Market penetration and brand recognition in the MV & LV switchgear segment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Industrial preferred).
  • 2–5 years of proven sales experience in MV & LV Switchgear Panels, power distribution, or related electrical equipment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of switchgear, power distribution systems, protection devices, and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
  • Established client network with consultants, EPCs, and industrial customers will be a plus.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong sales acumen with ability to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and proposal preparation.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs200,000.00 per month
