Deploy and manage virtualization platforms, such as VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV and OLVM.

Monitor and optimize the performance of virtual machines (VMs) and hosts.

Create and manage virtual networks, storage, and resource pools.

Perform VM backups and recoveries, ensuring business continuity.

Implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtualized environments.
-
Plan and execute upgrades of hypervisors and virtual infrastructure.

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Oracle Linux, Ubuntu, Red Hat).
-
Manage user accounts, permissions, and secure access using SSH or PAM.
-
Monitor Linux system performance.
-
Configure and manage Linux-based services, such as web servers (Apache), databases, and DNS.
Apply patches, updates, and security hardening.

Configure and manage enterprise backup solutions (Veeam).
-
Develop and maintain backup policies.
-
Ensure backups are tested regularly for recoverability and compliance with RTO/RPO.
-
Manage tape backups, offsite storage, and replication to disaster recovery sites.
-
Integrate database-specific backup tools like Oracle RMAN.
-
Monitor backup jobs and troubleshoot failures or performance bottlenecks.
-
Manage and monitor SAN/NAS/VSAN storage systems and ensure optimal performance.
-
Configure RAID levels (e.g., RAID 1, RAID 5) for redundancy and performance.

Allocate and manage storage volumes and LUNs for server and application needs.
-
Monitor storage capacity and plan for future expansions.
-
Implement data deduplication, compression, and replication where applicable.

Deploy and manage monitoring tools, such as ManageEngine tools.
-
Configure alerts and notifications for critical system, network, or application metrics.
-
Monitor CPU, memory, disk usage, and network performance for anomalies.
-
Analyze logs to identify trends, potential issues, or security breaches.

Generate and distribute reports on system health, performance, and capacity planning.

Automate monitoring tasks using scripts.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
-
At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the field.

Experience in Microsoft based operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange Server, Enterprise Backup Soulitions and Linux Administrator.

Problem-Solving and Administration.

Proficiency in managing virtualization platforms (VMware, AHV, OLVM and micrsoft hyper-v).

Expertise in Oracle Linux installation, configuration, and administration.

Knowledge of RAID configurations (RAID 1, RAID 5).

Hands-on experience with backup tools (Veeam, Oracle RMAN).
-
Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and firewalls.
-
Familiarity with storage systems, including SAN, NAS,iSCSI and VSAN.

Vendor Management: Work with third-party vendors and ensure SLA compliance.
-
RFP Preparation: Draft RFPs, evaluate bids, and recommend solutions.
-
Analysis: Perform cost-benefit analysis and recommend improvements.
-
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
-
Microsoft Certified: MCSE.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
