Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of ETL processes in a production environment. This role involves end‑to‑end ownership of ETL operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, release management, enhancements, and close collaboration with business, reporting, and database teams.
ETL (BODS) – Production Support, Development & Operations

Provide L2/L3 support for SAP BODS ETL jobs, including monitoring daily batch executions, incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, and SLA adherence.

Manage ETL releases and deployments in Production, including scheduling, environment configuration, user access, and repository administration.

Design, enhance, and optimize ETL jobs to improve performance, scalability, and data quality, while implementing validation, reconciliation, and audit controls.

Perform troubleshooting and performance tuning of ETL workflows, long‑running jobs, and data discrepancies using in‑database processing, indexing, and parallel execution techniques.
Reporting (SAP BusinessObjects)

Support SAP BO reports and universes dependent on ETL data.

Analyze and resolve reporting issues related to data accuracy, refresh failures, and latency.

Collaborate with reporting teams to ensure data consistency between ETL and BO layers.
Database & Data Management

Work extensively with Oracle, SQL Server, or other RDBMS to write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures, and views.

Perform data analysis and source‑to‑target reconciliation to ensure data quality and integrity.

Support performance tuning and ensure compliance with defined business rules and standards.
