System Analyst - Infrastructure

Job Description

A qualified Bahraini candidate, who fulfils the following job requirements:

  • Provision of 24/7 support services to the Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) network and infrastructure.
  • Perform the daily monitoring and system checks and ensure high availability, reliability, and integrity of ICS and OT network and infrastructure.
  • Support the installation and configuration of operating systems and software applications using wide range of software languages, tools and utilities for enhancing the reliability of various ICS and OT systems.
  • Execute approved projects related to ICS, OT network and infrastructure and ensure timely completions of the projects without compromising cost, quality, and HSE.
  • Perform Backup, Restore, and Port Blocker activities.
  • Develop system utilities as per applicable Cyber Security policy and IEC 62443 standards to satisfy end users requirements.
  • Ensure security of the Company's process networks to maintain the process network functionality without interruption for the benefit of end users.
  • Support Sr engineer in advising Company Management on process systems security for the achievement of strategic targets without cyber threat gaps.
  • Perform system administrative tasks of Aveva Plant Information (PI), Yokogawa EXA OPC Configuration and systems to ensure continuing functionality of the system for the end users.
  • Perform system configuration on network switches, Firewalls, patch management.
  • Manage and support the installation, configuration and security of operating systems and software applications to ensure security, integrity, and reliability of the process network. The job is organised to carry out daily system checks, analysis and troubleshooting for end user’s requests, and conducting site visits.
  • Manage and support storage technologies, restore/backup software, security software tools/applications such as Network Management tools, PI Process Book, PI-Vision, Visual Basic, and other software/application software.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Visual Basic, C-Sharp, Java, Python, etc.
  • Perform predictive asset integrity evaluation (on premise or via cloud) using digital solutions and plan/execute relevant approved CAPEX projects as well as provide support to end users.
  • The candidate shall have Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, Electronics, Cyber Security, Networking and Infrastructure, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in project management, handling projects and providing engineering support services in an operating refinery environment.
  • A thorough knowledge of Windows Application Software, storage technologies, virtualization with systems such as VMware, VEEM Software.
  • A thorough knowledge of ICS, cyber-security principles, Firewalls, OT Networking, protocols, Backup/Restore Software, namely Acronis, Ghost, Symantec, and Veem Data Platform,
  • A thorough knowledge of International Standards i.e. ISO, ISA, IEC, NIST, etc. and best practices related to cyber security.
  • Ability to articulate security advice directly to key stakeholders and Senior Management.
