Position System Analyst – Oracle EBS Functional

The Oracle EBS Functional System Analyst plays a vital role in this mission by ensuring the efficient and optimized use of the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) across university operations. This position bridges the gap between technical capabilities and business requirements, supporting the university's goals of streamlined workflows, data accuracy, and informed decision-making.
Job Purpose
To provide expert support in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) applications to meet the university's business needs. This role focuses on ensuring the effective use of Oracle EBS to streamline business processes, improve efficiency, and align with the university's strategic objectives. The System Analyst collaborates closely with various departments to identify opportunities for process improvements through technology, enhancing productivity and supporting university operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Major Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Oracle E-Business Suite Expertise: Minimum of 8 years in Oracle E-Business Suite, specializing as an Oracle Techno-Functional Consultant.
- Module Knowledge: Experience with Oracle modules including iSupplier, Sourcing, SCM, Projects, HRMS, Inventory, Purchasing, and Payroll.
- Oracle Fast Formula: Skilled in writing and modifying Oracle Fast Formulas, especially for Payroll configurations.
- Development Tools: Proficient in JDeveloper, Eclipse, Workflow Builder, Toad/SQL Developer, XML Gateway Mapping, and Report Builder.
- System Administration: Execute Oracle Apps System Administration, custom solution deployments, Basic Apps DBA activities, and security management.
- Project Support: Assist project teams in developing reports, tables, fields, data interfaces, and application extensions.
- Testing and Upgrades: Conduct functional acceptance tests, provide necessary upgrades, and troubleshoot across processes.
- Documentation and Conversion: Translate user requirements into formal functional specifications and maintain mapping documents for source and Oracle applications. Develop PL/SQL procedures to enhance business applications.
Qualifications & Experience (Required)
- A bachelor’s or Master’s degree related to the position or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Previous experience with developing/supporting/implementing application systems in the Educational industry is required.
- Related IT certifications added advantage like Oracle, Java, etc.
- Willingness to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Suitable candidates are expected to have excellent command of the English Language and should be familiar with technology-infused academic environments.
