Job Title: Systems / Network Administrator

Location: Onsite – Karachi
Shift Timings: Night Shift (08:00 PM to 05:00 AM)

Level3 BOS (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Systems / Network Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our IT infrastructure in a fast-paced operational environment.

Job Responsibilities

System Administration

• Install, configure, manage, and maintain Windows Server environments (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
• Administer user accounts, access controls, security policies, and permissions.
• Monitor system performance, server health, storage utilization, and logs.
• Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security hardening.
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V).
• Handle system backups, disaster recovery plans, and restore procedures.

Network Administration

• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, VLANs, and wireless networks.
• Manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
• Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and latency issues.

Security & Compliance

• Implement endpoint protection, antivirus, and security monitoring tools.
• Enforce IT security policies, data protection, and access controls.
• Respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and system breaches.
• Maintain documentation related to IT policies, network diagrams, and configurations.

Support & Operations

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for system and network-related issues.
• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and service providers for issue resolution.
• Ensure 24/7 operational availability during night shift operations.
• Maintain detailed logs, reports, and system documentation.

Required Skills & Technical Competencies

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools.
• Familiarity with VMware / Hyper-V virtualization.
• Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery practices.
• Basic knowledge of Linux administration is a plus.
• Experience with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSA, MCSE, Network+, or equivalent) will be an advantage.
• Minimum 2–4 years of hands-on experience in system and network administration.

Job Requirements

• Must be comfortable working night shift (08:00 PM – 05:00 AM).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle critical issues under pressure.
