System Support Assistance/ Desktop Support

Ø Roles & Responsibilities:

Ø Assist staff with installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment, and software complying with given standards and guidelines.

Ø Participate in varied computer platforms in multi-layered client-server environments.

Ø Practice systems asset management, including maintenance of Desktop component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.

Ø Train and guide staff hardware and software usage.

Ø Participate in important technological department projects and perform problem diagnosis of network and desktop environment under IT Management direction.

Ø Update and maintain computer inventory and surplus equipment.

Ø Maintain and resolve issues on LAN/WAN, VoIP telephone, Biometric, Video systems, and other computing equipment.

Ø Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems.

Ø Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the computing environment.

Ø Interact with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.

Ø Recommend and implement upgrades on systems to ensure longevity.

Ø Assess functional needs to determine system purchase specifications.

Ø Identify and repair hardware and network connectivity issues.

Ø Establish VPN access for all remote users.

Ø Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining of entire desktop systems.

Ø Support in testing and deployment of new applications and systems.

Ø Support and Maintain external clients desktop issues

Ø Any miscellaneous work assigns by head of infrastructure Services.

Minimum Job Requirement.

Ø Associate's degree in a computer-centered discipline.

Ø Pertinent Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.

Ø Experience as a Desktop Support Technician or equivalent.

Ø Capabilities needed to deliver in-person and remote IT aid.

Ø Fantastic installation, diagnostic, upgrade, and restoration abilities.

Ø Excellent vertical and lateral thinking.

Ø Superb time management skills.

Ø Clear written and verbal communication.
