System Support Engineer - Tier II

Islamabad, Pakistan

As a Tier 2 System Support Engineer, you will handle escalated technical issues, support complex IT infrastructure tasks, and ensure high system availability. This role requires deeper technical expertise, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration with senior IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second-level support for system, network, and application-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot escalated incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Manage system updates, patches, and performance monitoring.
  • Support Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, email servers, and user access control.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring issues and propose long-term fixes.
  • Work closely with Tier 3/Engineering teams on advanced issues.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation and knowledge base.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of hands-on IT/System/Network support experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows/Linux server environments.
  • Good understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs200,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
