Rate - $50-53/hr. on C2C maxLocal candidates with local project experience are a must
They are looking to convert someone between $80,000 - $85,000 annually. Bonus target is 10% of base salary.
Looking for 5+ years of experience- Looking to fill two positions and needs local candidates who can go into office 3x per week.
- These are CTH with the full intent to convert at the 3 month mark.
- Looking for Development experience - 1+ years- Any style dev, SQL, XML, JSON, Java, .Net o
- Need dev in background Analysis experience -
- 1+ years - requirements gathering, technical requirements documents, User Story creation, supporting dev on 2 week agile sprint basis- Jira,
- VB Testing experience - 1+ years- Will be creating and executing test plans and test scripts- VB This is the core of the position, if we find someone that has this experience, specific to supporting a Product(workflow product) that will be good enough.
- From there it would be nice to have Life/Annuities, experience working with Actuarial teams... ext.. Everything else remains consistent with prior position... This is for the ALIP Product Configuration Team.
- Product Configuration is the calculations side of the ALIP system.
- We spent 2024 learning about what we are supposed to be doing. Client is doing all of the configuration currently.
- We are learning what we need to do for development and testing.
- Now we are comfortable with this, so in 2025, Client will step back and we will take over the configuration, development and testing.
Experience Required:
- Candidates should have some life insurance and annuity product experience.
- They need to have an idea of how it works. ALIP is a plus, but it can be learned. So the product knowledge is really most important.
- Need to be able to develop tools for themselves. ALIP UI is all web based. For testing, they need to be able to navigate and test policy transactions.
- They must have SQL experience.
- They also should have Excel experience to build up calculations in the system.
- For day to day, we use Jira. We work in an agile workflow delivery process.
- For configuration, we work within the UI. The focus isn//'t validation/testing. It is about figuring out the design, how do I fit the logic into the framework? Can I share it? They need to be mindful of the performance as well. So they should have life insurance/annuity programming experience.
Job Purpose/Role
The ALIP Configuration team within the Actuarial department is responsible for the successful implementation of complex calculations in our policy administration system. As a System Test Analyst, you will work directly with the configuration analysts to test critical processes within the ALIP (Client Life Insurance & Annuity Platform) system related to the configuration of insurance/annuity products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth understanding of complex insurance and annuity products and business processing
- Solve complex problems considering required business functionality, sustainability and scalability of solutions
- Develop and maintain validation tools
- Collaborate with business and IT teams on test execution
- Troubleshoot, debug and fix issues as they arise in lower and production environments.
- Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders on system functionality
- Develop product expertise for all lines of business
- Work within an Agile environment focused on product delivery
- Communicate effectively with various teams, 3 rd party vendors, and team members to improve turnaround time and efficiency
Additional Information
Experience
- Understanding of Life and Annuities product rules and business processes
- Life and Annuities product testing experience with a Policy Administration System; ALIP Configuration is preferable
- Understanding of SQL database and ability to write simple queries
- Advocate of Agile practices and culture
Education
- 4 year degree required: Four year degree in technical discipline, engineering, business, Actuarial science, mathematics, physics, economics or related field; or equivalent experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Other: Technology, business and project certifications preferred
