OVERVIEW:
The Department of Administrative and Financial Services (DAFS) Office of Information Technology provides information technology support to over 13,000 employees. MaineIT oversees large-scale enterprise applications that support the critical and diverse business needs of the State of Maine and its agencies.

ABOUT THE JOB DETAILS:
Applicants must have strong problem-solving skills and be able to interact with our end-user community. Although we are in a team environment it is expected that you will be able to work independently to trouble shoot issues while leading the analysis, specification, design and implementation phases of the system engineering lifecycle. An ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively both verbally and in writing is also important.

Your job as a Systems Analyst will be to work closely as part of the team that oversees the life cycle management of the Department’s IT systems, new acquisitions, and Cloud Applications. You will perform analysis and documentation of business and system interactions, and draft Concepts of Operation for the Departments existing and new systems. You will participate in market analysis, solution design, and IT acquisitions. You will provide support in implementing, configuring, and integrating Cloud hosted applications with our on-prem application including coding. You will be expected to work independently with business and/or vendor teams, using your technical skills to analyze configure, and troubleshot information systems. Must have strong writing skills, be flexible managing multiple priorities and be eager to learn in a collaborative environment that requires attention to detail.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A four (4) year combination of higher level programming and or systems analysis and design experience. A Masters Degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science may be substituted for two (2) years of programming experience.
