JOB SUMMARY

Job Summary: The Systems Analyst will provide technical support for end-user hardware and operating systems across Marriott International. This role involves working with our managed service provider on hardware and operating systems to ensure optimal performance of desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. The Systems Analyst role reports to the Director – Engineering for Associate Technology (Technology Workplace Products). This role requires an understanding of enterprise environments, strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in information technology including:
    • Systems engineering and management, with a focus on end user hardware and operating systems (Windows and Mac OS, device compliance, endpoint security).
    • Experience in device imaging and deployment solutions for a variety of device types using different operating systems
    • Experience with data analysis on lifecycle events with integrations to asset management systems
    • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Comfortable working in a SAFe Agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IT governance and compliance standards
  • Experience with device lifecycle management (purchase through disposal) processes
  • Experience with technical operations, administration, or engineering in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with operating systems and endpoint management solutions (LTSB, LTSC, Windows 11, Sequoia, Intune, SCCM, and Workspace One)
  • Strong passion for technology and continuous learning.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Manage and maintain operating system configuration standards for Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Review and test gold image solution for various operating systems for new device provisioning and monthly patching updates for Windows and mac.
  • Manage regular release and version upgrade activities (create, test, implement), and component hardening standards for all operating systems or device types (Windows, Mac).
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for hardware and operating system issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including processes, procedures, and policies for hardware requirements/certification.
  • Assists with the annual certification with vendors and stakeholders for new hardware requirements and manages the vendor relationships for end user computing devices.
  • Conduct research and analysis to recommend improvements and innovations in system design and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices for controls, architecture, and product updates.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operations.

Technical Consultation and Project Execution

  • Provides recommendations to improve the effectiveness of processes and programs.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
