Hog Slat, Inc., the world's largest provider of equipment and turnkey facilities to the swine and poultry industries, is seeking an Systems & D365 Administrator. This position is responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting Hog Slat’s IT infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on network design, performance, and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize the Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) platform, including environments, LCS asset management, servicing, code deployments, and monitoring.
- Manage integration connectivity and services supporting D365 F&O, including Azure Service Bus, Azure Logic Apps, batch processing, business events, OData endpoints, and third‑party integrations.
- Support D365 Retail/Commerce infrastructure (if applicable) such as Store Commerce, Commerce Scale Units, offline databases, channel database distribution, CDX jobs, and device/register configurations.
- Build and maintain application servers, Azure resources, on‑premise hybrid components, and associated infrastructure supporting the D365 F&O environment.
- Administer SQL‑related components such as Azure SQL, BYOD databases, data warehouses, and performance tuning of D365 F&O‑related data flows.
- Support Power Platform components including Power Automate flows, Power BI integrations, virtual entities, notebooks, data gateways, and embedded analytics tied to D365 F&O.
- Support and improve WAN, LAN, and wireless architectures, including redundancy, failover mechanisms, and QoS configurations where applicable.
- Collaborate with developers, functional analysts, project teams, and business stakeholders to resolve complex issues, design new features, and implement new D365 functionality.
- Document system configurations, integrations, environment topologies, and operational procedures to maintain audit readiness and knowledge continuity.
- Maintain virtualization clusters and hosts.
- Build and maintain physical and virtual servers running various versions of Microsoft Windows and Linux.
- Administer SAN/NAS storage infrastructure, ensuring proper network paths, iSCSI, SMB, and NFS performance.
- Manage key server components including DHCP, DNS, group policy, file services, etc.
- Manage antivirus servers, maintain antivirus clients on endpoints, and respond to security incidents as needed.
- Configure, maintain, and validate backup and replication jobs.
- Provide infrastructure support services to other IS department members.
- Serve as a point of escalation for the helpdesk team.
- Operate as a member of the disaster recovery team in test and real world incidents.
- Work with project teams to resolve complex issues and implement new solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend necessary changes in performance tuning, infrastructure design, and monitoring.
- Design, implement, and document end-to-end technical solutions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a similar field of study, and 5+ years of systems administration experience.
- Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- In‑depth experience supporting Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including environment management, batch processing, LCS usage, deployments, and DMF.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns for D365 F&O (Service Bus, Logic Apps, OData, custom APIs, business events, file‑based DMF entities, Azure Functions, etc.).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues across multiple layers: application, environment, infrastructure, identity, networking, and integrations.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Azure services, including resource groups, networking, identity, Key Vault, monitoring, and SQL‑based services relevant to D365 workloads.
- Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools (BYOD, Power BI, data warehousing concepts, Financial Reporter/MR).
- Ability to manage tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understand IS policies and procedures and communicate these to the user community.
- Strong commitment to customer service with good interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving, and analytical skills.
