Systems Designer I

The Systems Designer I is the entry level design position. The Systems Designer Associate I is responsible for updating and maintaining item databases, coordinating design materials and specifications with other trades, and creating basic CAD drawings. They compile job documentation, identify cost-saving or higher-performing products, and generate accurate proposals and change orders. The role also involves assisting the lighting design team with fixture specifications and drawing updates and requires knowledge of the shade design process for reviewing shade packets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Update/maintain item database in iPoint
• Provide coordination and communicate with other trades for design material and specifications
• Coordinate and create basic AV & Lighting Control CAD drawings
• Compile and fill out job system documentation
• Create accurate equipment rack technical drawings
• Create accurate and technically correct Core team level proposals from start to finish
• Create accurate and technically correct change orders from start to finish
• Maintain knowledge of the shade design process with the ability to review shade packets
