Overview
Pretium Packaging, a leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging solutions, is seeking a Systems Project Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering and Manufacturing team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and improving technical systems and processes that support our manufacturing operations, with an emphasis on efficiency, quality, and scalability. The Systems Project Engineer will lead cross-functional projects, manage technical system integrations, and provide engineering expertise to drive continuous improvement across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Execution
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering system projects from concept through implementation.
- Develop project charters, timelines, budgets, and progress reports, ensuring on-time, within-scope delivery.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Engineering, IT, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain) and external vendors.
- Systems Engineering & Implementation
- Design, integrate, and optimize systems that support manufacturing operations, including automation, control systems, and plant-wide processes.
- Oversee system upgrades, new equipment integration, and process automation initiatives.
- Ensure that all technical solutions meet Pretium’s operational, safety, and quality standards.
- Process Improvement & Technical Support
- Analyze current systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Support system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training resources.
- Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with Quality, EHS, and IT teams to maintain system reliability and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of project engineering, systems integration, or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of system design, controls, and industrial automation.
- Experience with ERP/MES systems, process integration, or manufacturing technology platforms.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
