Overview:

Lutron is seeking a Tactical Buyer Lead to join our Materials Team at our warehousing facility in the Lehigh Valley. This role is part of our Corporate Operations group and offers an opportunity to grow professionally while maintaining our market position as the world leader in smart lighting and shading systems.


As a Tactical Buyer Lead, you will be central to our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials to meet production and customer needs. You will lead procurement execution, resolve material shortages, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive performance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Execute system-generated “buy” messages and manage purchase orders in response to evolving business needs.

  • Resolve material shortages across all commodities to minimize production and customer impact.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, and Purchasing.

  • Monitor and improve key supply chain metrics such as inventory levels, delivery performance, cost, and quality.

  • Lead and support initiatives aimed at improving procurement processes and overall supply chain efficiency.

  • Maintain and update procurement reports and trackers, including custom POs, deferrals, and cancellations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned
  • 4–6 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain operations, or planning.
  • Experience leading others is a plus
  • Proven experience MRP systems (SAP – Preferred), bill of materials, and order management.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build productive relationships across teams and with external suppliers
  • Proven analytical skills with proficiency in purchasing and manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • APICS CPIM certification – Preferred.
