This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic, professional atelier environment, contributing to the creation of high-quality garments for local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert tailoring services, including alterations, fittings, and repairs for a wide range of garments such as suits, dresses, skirts, trousers, shirts, outerwear, and casual pieces.
• Ensure that each garment is tailored to meet management's specifications and client preferences while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship.
• Handle delicate fabrics and intricate designs with precision and care, applying appropriate sewing and finishing techniques.
• Operate industrial and domestic sewing equipment safely and effectively to achieve professional results.
• Conduct fittings and consultations, offering professional recommendations on alterations, garment structure, and design improvements.
• Collaborate closely with pattern makers, designers, and production staff to ensure seamless coordination and consistency across all stages of garment creation.
• Inspect finished garments to verify accuracy, fit, and quality before final approval.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly cared for.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Tailor, Seamstress, or Garment Technician, preferably within a fashion house or garment manufacturing company.
• Exceptional sewing and garment construction skills, with the ability to handle a wide variety of fabrics including delicate materials such as silk, chiffon, lace, and others.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional craftsmanship on every piece.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with management, colleagues, and clients.
• Ability to interpret design sketches, technical packs, and fitting notes accurately.
