Tailor

Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Tailor with experience in both men’s and women’s clothing to
join our client. The ideal candidate should be proficient in tailoring tops, trousers, and
uniforms, with strong attention to detail and finishing. This role is responsible for
alterations, custom stitching, and ensuring high-quality workmanship for all garments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General  Alter and tailor garments for men and women according to specifications.
 Stitch and adjust tops, trousers, and uniforms to ensure proper fit and finish.
 Take accurate body measurements and ensure garments are tailored to client
requirements.
 Work with different fabrics and styles, adapting techniques as needed.
 Maintain high-quality standards in all stitching, cutting, and finishing tasks.
 Ensure timely delivery of completed work while managing multiple orders
efficiently.
 Inspect finished garments for defects, loose threads, or fitting issues before
delivery.
 Operate and maintain sewing machines, overlockers, and other tailoring
equipment.
 Provide fitting sessions and make on-the-spot adjustments when required.
 Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
BACKGROUND, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications  Proven experience in tailoring both men’s and women’s wear (minimum 3–5
years preferred).
 Experience stitching tops, trousers, uniforms, and formal/casual garments.
 Must be currently located in Bahrain and able to work locally.
Skills  Proficient in taking precise body measurements and ensuring accurate fitting.
 Strong knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate stitching
techniques.
 Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
 Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
 Basic communication skills in English or Arabic for understanding instructions.
 Ability to operate and maintain industrial sewing machines.
