Tailor

Must have tailoring experience, must know how to cut/sew/repair uniform materials, linens and other supplies for the use of the Hotel.

1. Clean and oil sewing machines regularly and ensures that they are all in good working condition.

2. Ensure that all sewing supplies required for daily use are in sufficient stock.

3. Report to Laundry Supervisor for any repair and sewing supplies requirement. Carries out all sewing and alteration requirement of guest request.

4. Be able to provide a variety of hand and machine sewing services.

5. Repair and upkeep all staff uniforms and amend all linen when damaged by the Laundry.

6. Also alter uniform when necessary on Housekeeping Manager Request.

7. Keeps an accurate record of all discarded linen and uniforms and converts these into usable items.

8. Make special requirements such as special stitching for functions and display or fancy dress.

9. Keeps record of all miscellaneous voucher used for the alteration and repairs of guest items.

10. Assist and relieve in Linen room attendant during the emergency/ or annual vacation.

11. Ability to communicate the with rest of the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
