Tailor (Ethnic & Contemporary Wear)

Job Description

Dyulokha, a global lifestyle brand rooted in Indian heritage, is seeking skilled and detail-oriented Tailors to join our team. This role requires expertise in stitching, alterations, and finishing across a variety of fabrics including silk, cotton, viscose, georgette, and contemporary blends. You will be working on sarees, blouses, salwar kameez, kurtas, lehengas, gowns, and accessories, ensuring that each piece meets Dyulokha’s commitment to quality, elegance, and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately measure, cut, and stitch garments based on design specifications and customer requirements.
• Work on diverse styles: blouses, kurtas, salwar kameez, lehengas, anarkalis, gowns, and other ethnic & fusion wear.
• Perform alterations and customizations, including resizing, embellishment adjustments, and bespoke finishes.
• Ensure high-quality stitching with attention to detail in seams, hems, linings, and embroidery placement.
• Collaborate with designers and production leads to bring creative concepts to life.
• Maintain sewing machines, tools, and workspaces in good condition.
• Deliver projects within deadlines while upholding Dyulokha’s quality standards.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Indian ethnic and contemporary garment construction.
• Proficiency in stitching techniques, pattern cutting, and fabric handling.
• Ability to work with delicate fabrics (silks, chiffons, georgettes) and heavy textiles (velvets, brocades).
• Creativity and adaptability in executing design concepts and alterations.
• Attention to detail and passion for producing high-quality work.
• Time management skills to balance multiple projects.
