Role Overview

The Talent Acquisition Manager at Square is responsible for building, leading, and scaling a high-performing recruitment function. This role partners closely with business leaders to attract top-tier talent aligned with Square’s mission of economic empowerment and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end recruitment for technology, product, operations, and business roles.

Develop and execute data-driven hiring strategies aligned with Square’s growth plans.

Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and define role requirements.

Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for critical and niche roles.

Enhance employer branding initiatives across platforms and recruitment campaigns.

Manage and mentor recruiters, ensuring best-in-class hiring practices.

Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) hiring initiatives.

Optimize recruitment processes, tools, and ATS usage for efficiency and scalability.

Track and report hiring metrics such as time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and candidate experience.

Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal hiring policies.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

6–10 years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience hiring for tech or fintech environments.

Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Expertise in ATS platforms, sourcing tools, and recruitment analytics.

Deep understanding of modern hiring trends and candidate experience best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in scaling teams within fast-paced, high-growth companies.

Exposure to global hiring and workforce planning.

Passion for inclusive hiring and employer branding.
