The Role

At rednote, we are looking for an exceptional Talent Acquisition Partner to help us build our founding team in the Bay Area and New York.


The ideal candidate is someone who is excited by the challenge of bringing in extraordinary people — individuals who are not only top performers, but who also want to be part of an ambitious and meaningful journey. This role is for someone who sees recruiting as both intuitive craft and analytical depth: understanding talent meaningfully, identifying exceptional potential, and helping the right people join at the right moment.

You will work closely with business and leadership teams to define talent priorities, map the market, engage high-caliber candidates, and build the kind of team that can scale with both excellence and heart.


This is not a standard recruiting role, and it is not just about filling headcount.

You will be a founding HR partner — helping shape the team, culture, and talent bar of rednote as we build a cross-cultural online community. At rednote, people do not simply consume content, but discover one another through authenticity, generosity , curiosity , and everyday human experience.


Where you'll create impact

  • Utilize strong talent instincts and sharp judgment on people to build our founding team, creating a scalable, high-integrity hiring machine from the ground up
  • Balance the urgency of a growing team with the discipline required to maintain an incredibly high talent bar
  • Identify exceptional candidates, meaning you'll assess both their documented experience and potential beyond the resume
  • Build trust and credibility quickly with top talent, engaging with candidates not only efficiently, but meaningfully
  • Navigate complex negotiations with empathy and precision, ensuring that our "closing" process feels like the beginning of a meaningful partnership
  • Act as a brand ambassador, translating our mission of "human connection" into a compelling narrative for world-class talent


What sets you up for success

  • Excited by the idea of joining early and helping build something from the ground up
  • Cross-cultural fluency and strong communication skills
  • Hungry, ambitious, and energized by high standards
  • Deeply interested in people and motivated to become exceptional in HR and talent
  • Recruiting experience in consumer internet, content platforms, startups, or adjacent tech ecosystems
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-changing environments
  • Drawn to strong teams, exceptional people, and meaningful work — not looking for a purely process-driven recruiting role



Nice to haves

Experience in executive search or a top recruiting firm is a strong plus, but not a must
