Position Summary
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us build strong leadership teams across our restaurant brands. This role is focused on recruiting General Managers and Assistant General Managers, while also supporting our restaurants with hourly hiring strategies when needed.

You’ll partner closely with District Managers and General Managers to understand staffing needs, build pipelines, and bring in the right people to grow the business. You’ll also represent Weis Restaurant Group in the community - connecting with schools, attending hiring events, and building long-term recruiting relationships.

What You’ll Do

Lead Leadership Recruiting

  • Own recruiting efforts for General Manager and Assistant General Manager roles

  • Partner with District Managers to understand hiring needs across locations

  • Source candidates through job boards, networking, and referrals

  • Screen candidates and coordinate interviews with operational leaders

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines for current and future openings

Support Hourly Recruiting

  • Provide guidance to General Managers on hiring strategies and best practices

  • Assist with recruiting during high-volume hiring periods

  • Help build pipelines for hourly team members when needed

Get Involved in the Community

  • Represent WRG at career fairs, job fairs, and hiring events

  • Build relationships with high schools, workforce programs, and community partners

  • Identify new recruiting opportunities within local markets

Support the Recruiting Process

  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting activity in the ATS

  • Track pipelines, interviews, and hiring outcomes

  • Help ensure consistent recruiting practices across all locations

Partner with Leaders

  • Coach managers on interviewing and hiring decisions

  • Support better recruiting strategies and workforce planning

  • Help create consistency in hiring across restaurants

Create a Great Candidate Experience

  • Ensure candidates have a positive, professional experience from start to finish

  • Represent WRG and our brands in a way that reflects who we are

What We’re Looking For

Experience

  • 3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience

  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, or multi-location environments preferred

  • High-volume hiring experience is a plus

Skills

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations

  • Organized and self-driven, with the ability to work independently

  • Comfortable partnering with leaders and providing guidance

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Field-based role with time spent in restaurants and local communities

  • Travel primarily within the Lincoln and Omaha metro areas

  • Up to 30% travel across other markets as needed

  • Occasional evenings or weekends for recruiting events
