The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruiting efforts across the organization. This role partners with leadership, hiring managers, and HR team members to attract, source, and hire qualified professionals in clinical, administrative, and leadership roles.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive relationship-builder who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing strategy, creativity, and organization to deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle — from job posting to offer acceptance — for a wide range of positions across multiple states.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop job postings, and define hiring strategies.
Source qualified candidates using online platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.), job fairs, community partnerships, and university outreach.
Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
Support the offer and onboarding process in collaboration with HR and departmental leadership.
Talent Strategy & Employer Branding
Promote RiverValley Behavioral Health’s culture, mission, and growth through engaging job marketing and social media initiatives.
Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse and qualified talent pools.
Track recruitment metrics, trends, and time-to-hire data to support process improvements.
Partner with the HR team to strengthen the candidate and new-hire experience.
Administrative & Compliance
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate candidate data within the HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
Assist with workforce planning and special HR projects as needed.

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, not required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recruiting or talent acquisition experience (healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred).

Certification: SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar credential preferred, not required.

Demonstrated success managing multiple open positions and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in HRIS and ATS systems (Paycom experience a plus).
