TAQA-Certified Civil Engineer – Temporary Contract

​Gulf Technology Contracting and Building Demolition is seeking a highly qualified Civil Engineer to join our team for a demolition project in Abu Dhabi.

Job Details:

• ​Position: Civil Engineer / Competent Person (CP)
• ​Contract Type: Temporary – 6 Months (Renewable based on performance and project requirements)
• ​Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
• ​Start Date: Immediately

​Key Requirements:

• ​Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• ​Mandatory Certification:
• ​Valid Competent Person (CP) card issued by TAQA Distribution.
• ​Must hold active designations for both High Voltage and Low Voltage: CP1 (HV) & CP2 (LV).
• ​Experience: Proven experience in site supervision, demolition/excavation works, and full familiarity with TAQA's Safety Rules and Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
• ​Residency: Valid UAE residence visa with the ability to join immediately.

​ Key Responsibilities:

• ​Directly supervise demolition activities on-site to ensure the protection and integrity of TAQA’s electrical assets (HV/LV).
• ​Issue, manage, and sign off on Permits to Work (PTW) in coordination with TAQA inspectors.
• ​Perform site utility line identification and cable scanning prior to and during machinery operations.
