TAQA-T Certified Technician – Protection & Control Systems / SCMS

Job Summary:

We are urgently hiring a TAQA-T Competency Certified Technician for Protection & Control Systems / SCMS to work on high-profile substation projects under L&T across the UAE (Abu Dhabi and Western Region).

This is a project-based field role requiring experience in handling LAP, PTW, and SFT permits in TAQA-T substations. Candidates must be ready for immediate mobilization and willing to work on a transferable project basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take and manage LAP, PTW, and SFT permits in TAQA-T substations.
• Perform installation, testing, and commissioning of Protection & Control Systems.
• Work on SCMS (Substation Control & Monitoring Systems) per TAQA-T specifications.
• Follow all safety, technical, and documentation protocols.
• Coordinate with site engineers, safety officers, and permit holders.
• Report daily tasks and issues to the site supervisor or project manager.
• Travel to project sites across Abu Dhabi or the Western region as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Protection & Control / SCMS Systems.
• Must be a TAQA-T Competency Certified technician (valid certification required).
• Experience in taking TAQA-T permits (LAP/PTW/SFT) is mandatory.
• Good understanding of substation safety and operational procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
