Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable CPA Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting and a comprehensive understanding of financial principles and regulations. This role is essential in providing accurate tax preparation, compliance, and strategic financial advice to our clients. The Tax Accountant will work closely with individuals and businesses to ensure their tax obligations are met while maximizing their financial opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  • Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • Assist clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law matters.
  • Provide guidance on mergers & acquisitions, ensuring proper tax implications are considered.
  • Perform auditing tasks to verify the accuracy of financial records.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Conduct account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial reports for accuracy and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar tools for efficient bookkeeping and reporting.
  • Collaborate with clients on budgeting, financial planning, and asset management strategies.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial concepts including debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills for financial analysis and account analysis.
  • Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus.
  • Understanding of securities law as it pertains to tax implications is beneficial.
  • Excellent written communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,678.05 per year
